A stimulating and rewarding career pathway for a Research Technician looking to become involved in the development of tomorrow’s medicines, in a successful MHRA Phase I Accredited Unit with an international reputation. 

Our scientific research into asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is led by Professor Dave Singh, Head of the Airway Pharmacology Group, University of Manchester.

The role……..

The post-holder much have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work to tight deadlines and be a strong team player.

The post holder will be responsible for performing physiological measurements (eg spirometry and advanced lung function tests, bronchial challenges) and procedures with patient volunteers and for the processing of samples taken during clinical research.  

Previous clinical and laboratory experience is advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided. 

Applicants must have a good Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a life science or related discipline (eg sports science, biomedical science, physiology, biology).
